SELANGOR
Route: Shah Alam Lake Garden, Selangor. Comprises
of 3
lakes; Eastern, Central and Western Lakes
Parking: Ample parking space around the lakes
Features: Lakes surroundings are shady with children
playground, water theme park, aquarium shop, floating
seafood restaurant, café and food stalls, public
toilets, plant nursery, outdoor concert stage, canoe
for hire site and bird sanctuary.
Surface: Hard and undulating brick pavement with
distance markers. It is advisable to wear shoes with
adequate cushioning.
Distance: Distance: 3.8km for the large loop,
around 3 lakes. 1 km for a small loop around Eastern
Lake situated in
between the picturesque state mosque and MBSA building.
For some hill running detour from the route near
the mosque through a stairway that leads to a overhead
bridge. It links Dataran Shah Alam to the State
Secretariat Building on the hill. The distance is
about 500 metres.
Best time to run: 7am in the mornings.
