The Beginner's Running Program was kicked off
on 6th
May 2006. Since then the completely free,
completely
fun and really easy to follow walk/jog program
has seen
a few success stories. We invite beginners to
the sport
to join us at 7:30am
every
Saturday to take up running as a
sustainable
fitness program.
The Beginners Program is loosely based on a
beginners'
program promoted by the New York Road Runners
in the
United States of America. It is a walk/jog
program covering
about 3km. After a period of about 8 weeks,
and complemented
with the participant's own 2 weekday workouts,
the individual
is expected to be able to jog for 20 minutes
non-stop
after a period of 8 weeks. From feedback by
successful
participants, the reward is a great sense of
achievement
and of course tangible health benefits.
To participate,
simply turn
up in your running shoes and comfy apparels at
the car
park adjacent to the Police HQ), Taman Tasik
Perdana
on the aforesaid day and time. Download

by Wan
Yew Leong and Jamie Pang. Powerbar is the
